Order Griffin Navigate In-Line Controller for iPod and iPhone (Black)

This has got to be one of the greatest accessories you can get for your ipod touch or iphone. With this remote you dont need take your ipod touch out of your pocket at all. This allows you to change the tracks, fast forward within the tracks, play/pause, change volume, change playlists, change equalizer, change artist/album, change shuffle song/album, listen to fm radio and 4 presets and ofcourse look the screen to see which song is playing. I used to own the griffin ifm which was the older version of the griffin navigate and I have to admit this is much better. Out of all the features the screen is probably the most useful. The screen can be used to see what song is playing and by which artist and at which volume. Also with the fm radio it has the rds feature which if the station transmits in rds will allow you to see the station name and which song is playng and by which artist. The remote is suprisingly light and I find the cord the perfect length. Keep in mind I am using the shure se210's which I shortened the length (not used the extension wire) to make the length just right. In terms of ease of use the buttons are nicely placed and quite easy to push and use. I do wish the navigate had a mice built in. That way it could be used with voice apps like skype or shazam or could be used better with the iphone. I also wish the navigate was cheaper. $40-$50 would have been ideal for me. I ended up paying $60 plus tax. Last but not least I wish the oled screen had a brightness setting so I could change to lower or higher. There are times mostly when I find it way too bright. Also other can read the screen from far away and see the info on it. Or if the brightness could be dimmed or lowered after making your selection or reading the info needed making the backlight time out after a certain amount of time. I also really wish the iFM app which works with the griffin navigate worked here in Canada. I was able to download the iFM app from the US itunes store which allows you to use the location services to find nearby radio station information including which song is playing and then choosing if you would like to buy the song from the itunes store from your touch or iphone. This is a great feature but again its only useful for US residents. So I hope in the future Griffin Technologies releases the iFM app in Canada and support for it with Canadian radio staitons.
