There is no question that the Zen needs this protection for this soft screen. It is BAD that they ship without it in hopes of tagging the buyer for a couple of bucks more. I expected the same great quality as the GOOD Zen units in the accessories for them. Had I read the reviews I would have saved time ordering another brand. UGLY, Heed every warning in the other reviews, this one is a lemon, even with 3 in the package, I never was able to remove the bubbles. I have no problem bubble free on our cell phones.
