Cowon D2+ 16 GB MP3 Player (Black) Right now

I use this device strictly for audio books. It does the job but is not easy to figure out and is not easy to use in any case. The device comes with the poorest user manual that I've ever encountered. Beyond identifying some of the controls, I found it to be almost totally useless. To make matters worse, it comes configured out of the box for the screen to go blank after 10 seconds. That can be adjusted, but of course you have to stumble upon that control during the 10-second active periods. After about two weeks of trying to figure out this machine by trial and error, I was just about to send it back when some things finally began to fall into place. Now I kind of have it figured out, at least for music and audio books, but still find the controls to be awkward. If I am listening to an audio book and need to interrupt my listening to answer the phone (or something) I have to unlock the keyboard, double-tap the screen, and, by the time I return to it, the machine will have turned itself off. I'll eventually find the control that gives me more time before auto-off, but so far haven't run across it.

The screen appears to be quite vulnerable to scratching, so I will have to find some way to protect it. Not a big deal, but it should have come with a protective container of some sort.Get more detail about Cowon D2+ 16 GB MP3 Player (Black).
