Discount Griffin TuneFlex AUX Mount and Charger with SmartClick Remote for iPod and iPhone (Black)

An iPhone dock only needs to do 3 things well; 1) provide solid support, 2) provide undistorted access to the auxillary audio out, 3) charge the phone.

1) As the other reviewers have detailed, this is a top heavy design that rotates or falls out of the cigarette light adapter at every turn. Perhaps they should have tried rare-earth magnets instead of rubber to secure it in place.

2) This system has 1 input (power) and 1 output (audio), not very much to "certify". How did they miss the audio level by SOOO MUCH??? With the Tuneflex volume knob cranked and my stereo cranked, I can barely hear the music at highway speed. If I plug my aux directly into the iPhone headphone output, the stereo is then deafening. How did this much attenuation of the line level audio output ever make it past the Griffin engineering and quality departments???

3) Griffin hit the mark on this one (as far as I can tell). Who knows, maybe it is damaging the battery, I did not measure the voltage levels.

PROS:
1. The three-color charging LED "ring" looks nice.
2. Remote control is a nice feature.

CONS:
1. Mount dismounts more than it mounts.
2. Audio level unacceptably low.
3. Remote buttons are hard to discern in the dark.Get more detail about Griffin TuneFlex AUX Mount and Charger with SmartClick Remote for iPod and iPhone (Black).
