I use the case for when I run outside. So far the case has held up nicely, and really protects the nano well when it is raining outside. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5: I'm not a big fan of the belt clip mechanism--the case adds a significant amount of bulk/weight to the nano, which then makes it droop if you try to clip it to your waist and run. This droopiness can probably be mitigated by placing the ipod at the small of your back, but then you can't reach the controls.
