This unit satisfied my main needs: Charge my iPod overnight without use of my computer, line out to my stereo so I can still blast things that I want to hear with "big sound" without concern for battery life, and allow casual late night listening without disturbing others in the house. I got my unit new for $50, a price at which this is a steal. This is a few generations old, so if your iPod is newer than around a 2G nano, the cradle isn't included; so hopefully you still have & don't use the one your iPod came with. My only gripe is the joke of a remote which, even with a fresh battery, is useless further than 3' away from the unit; Again, for the overall price it's a sacrifice that I can deal with. For it's $100 MSRP, I'd say skip this unit & spend more for better sound & quality, but if you can find a deal, this unit will work well for everyday casual listening.Get more detail about iHome iH8BR Clock Radio for iPod.
