I use an ipod touch Gen 1 for back-to-back dance classes. I really don't want the battery to run out if I forget to recharge the ipod! (I use an extension cable for the battery so I can plug in the audio cable and continue to use the ipod while it is charging.) this gizmo indeed replenished the ipod battery when it was 1/2 way. but it drained itself from Full to Zero while doing so.
