I purchased this for the sole intention of using with Skype via my iTouch Gen 2 and I'm happy to report, it works %100! Plenty loud and the people I tested it with reported better call quality than my cell phone. Music performance leaves a lot to be desired (flat and lifeless) but this is not the reason one would purchase such a cheap mic/headset.
I can also confirm this to work with the built-in voice recorder, the I am T-Pain app and the Talkbox app.
