If you live in the rural outlying areas of any city, this product would probably work for you. If you live in a relatively populated city, finding an open clear channel is very daunting. If you happen to find one with a minimal amount of static, it won't last long, it will be overrun with a stronger signal from another broadcasting station. Not to mention, having to hang the cord from the sun visor since it seems to act as an antenna for the unit. I only keep this unit for long drives through the desert on the way to Vegas, otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.
